This is the first time in many years that the shop has been cleared out as well as it is now, and even now much is still in need of being done. When I was doing juried shows on a regular basis, there was much more room to work in the old garage and it certainly seemed larger. Over the years though it became a place to store anything-especially those things that would probably never be used. This summer I started cleaning out the shop and putting in new shelving and work areas. The area pictured here is the back wall showing the kilns, and shelving to be used for greenware in the future
This area is the side wall looking towards the front of the garage. You can see some of the bulk storage for glazing chemicals, and the wedging table on the left just before the door. |
This area is the biggest disaster presently, but will eventually be used to mix glazes, and glaze pottery |
